The UK/EU–Ukraine Defence Innovation Corridor will be officially launched on 16 March 2026, marking an important step toward strengthening innovation-driven cooperation between Ukraine and its European partners. The Corridor’s mission is to establish a structured innovation corridor enabling continuous cooperation between Ukrainian defence stakeholders and technology companies, research institutions, investors, and industrial partners across the United Kingdom and the European Union.
The initiative aims to create a dynamic ecosystem supporting defence innovation, technology transfer, and strategic collaboration. For Ukraine, the Corridor offers a continuous presence within UK and EU innovation ecosystems, improved access to advanced industrial partners, increased opportunities for defence technology commercialization, attraction of international investment, and strengthened strategic alliances.
For UK and EU industry, the platform provides access to battlefield-tested technologies, collaboration with Ukrainian engineering talent, faster innovation validation cycles, opportunities linked to reconstruction and defence modernization, and entry into emerging defence technology markets.
The project has received support from a member of the UK Parliament and may operate in collaboration with governmental institutions, embassies, defence innovation units, industry associations, and private-sector partners. Tech Connecta will act as facilitator and ecosystem connector, supporting operational coordination and partnership development.
Through this initiative, the Corridor aims to contribute to strengthened UK–EU–Ukraine defence cooperation, increased innovation transfer, sustainable industrial partnerships, and long-term economic and security benefits for all parties involved.
